Dr. Robin Hobbs was born and raised in Houston, Texas. Even as a teenager, Dr. Hobbs knew she wanted to work in the healthcare field. While attending Michael E. DeBakey High School for Health Professions, she had the opportunity to take courses in various healthcare fields and the dental courses particularly sparked her interest. At this time, Dr. Hobbs was going through her own orthodontic treatment and found herself fascinated with the industry.
From there, Dr. Hobbs went on to attend Prairie View A&M University in Prairie View, Texas for her undergrad, majoring in biology with a minor in chemistry. Then, Dr. Hobbs completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee before completing her residency in pediatric dentistry at The University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Dr. Hobbs is also board-certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and is an active member of the Tennessee Dental Association, Tennessee Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry.
What Dr. Hobbs loves most about being a pediatric dentist is getting to turn children’s days around. Even if a kid comes in feeling nervous, Dr. Hobbs helps them leave excited to come back. She is grateful to be able to foster a warm, community feel at her practice and hopes that you will feel at home in her care. When she’s not tending to little smiles, she can be found traveling, painting, attending sports games, and spending quality time with family and friends.
